One would think that the Hawaiian Islands would offer so much photographic opportunity that it would be hard to choose which photos to post and comment on. I have had the opposite problem. The complexity of the dense flora and fauna has posed a challenge for me to capture a pleasing image. The first photo in this series is a great example of how dense the flora can be. I could not resist the textures and complexity as i tried to photograph it. What do you think?
The next two photos are of typical views from the wet side of any Hawaiian Island, Lush forest with water falls running through. Though very beautiful to stand and watch, they seem to be hard to capture as a static image.
Akaka Falls on the North East coast just a few miles from Hilo.
