It has been too long since i have taken any photos, I decided to get up early (3:30 am) and make the drive into the park. It was quite a treat. I watched the sun rise from Tunnel View at the entrance to Yosemite Valley (photo of this in a later post). I then continued on through the park to Hetch Hetchy Canyon. This was the first time i have every visited Hetch Hetchy Canyon located in the north west protion of Yosemite National PArk. I regret it has taken me nearly 30 years to get to this place, It was beautiful!
I took a hike along the north shore of the lake to Wapama Falls and about a mile beyond. The mid morning sun was harsh but a few photos i did manage to salvage gives one the sense of the grandeur of the valley before it was flooded.

I am so happy that you got a chance to visit Wapama Falls. As I told you during our dinner meeting in Yuba City in July, I had just returned from Yosemite and it was my first trip to Wapama Falls. The view of Hetch Hetchy Reservoir from the Wapama Falls trail is breathtaking. Thank you for your photo posts, I am really enjoying them!
