"Alchemy" - A Power or Process of Transforming Something Common Into Something Special

Black and White Landscapes

Those who have seen and followed my photography know if like Color – Vivid deep saturated color.  It has not escaped me that many of the famous, well known photographers only published in black and white.  It got me thinking about how my photos would look in black and white and how they would be perceived differently. Here are some classic locations converted to black and white.  A work in Progress!

What the process has reaffirmed for me is that composition and light (tones) are the core to the image.  This was a fung project which i will continue to pursue but it will not displace my love of color.
